Prior to upgrading, Customer (or Partner) should read and understand the PeopleFluent Learning Upgrade Policies and Recommendations document
1. Customer (or Partner) is aware that PeopleFluent provides a Managed Upgrade Support Service, at a cost. Customer (or Partner) has made the decision to proceed with the PeopleFluent Learning Production (Live) instance upgrade process without engaging PeopleFluent's Professional Services division for a Managed Upgrade Support Service. The Customer (or Partner) is responsible for performing appropriate User Acceptance Testing after completion of the PeopleFluent Learning Production (Live) instance upgrade and prior to proceeding with PeopleFluent Learning production use.
2. Following this upgrade, Customer (or Partner) acknowledges that it will accept and upload the general distribution updates, updates, enhancements and/or new releases that are provided to the general customer base at no cost to Customer (or Partner). For the sake of clarity, PeopleFluent shall only provide patches, updates, bug and code fixes under current releases going forward.
3. Customer (or Partner) is aware that any issues that arise as a result of the said PeopleFluent Learning Production (Live) instance upgrade that require PeopleFluent's support shall be subject to PeopleFluent's Client Support Policies and agreed PeopleFluent Learning SLAs, hence may require resolution lead times, and may require scoping, the signing of a Statement of Work and payment of the applicable fees where such issues are not considered Standard Support but chargeable PeopleFluent professional services.

5. Download and deploy the upgrade kit to upgrade to version 23.11 of PeopleFluent Learning. Earlier versions of Talent Suite/EKP must be upgraded to version 22.03 prior to applying this upgrade. Upgrades from versions earlier than 22.03 must be applied sequentially and in the correct order before using this upgrade kit. So, for example, to upgrade from version 21.11 to 23.11, upgrades to versions 22.03, 22.07, 22.11 and 23.11 must be applied first, and in that order. After each individual version upgrade, the system needs to be started up to run some system initialization tasks. Check the completion of the initialization tasks in the ekp.log (these may take time to complete) before moving on to the next version upgrade. At each step, please consult the appropriate version of the Upgrade Guide for detailed instructions. Obtain the necessary license(s) for the target version from the sales team if upgrading across major versions. Alternatively, upgrading across multiple versions is also possible using designated multi-version upgrade kit.
6. Demo licenses should be used for test/demo purposes and not for production use. If the platform is already on this version, download and update with the released build patch that includes the latest fixes. Read the release notes to check the details of the latest fixes pertaining to the build.
7. Only the latest major version of demo licenses are published here, for example, if the latest released version is 23.11 then 23x licenses are put up for download. For older version demo license requests (21x, 15x, 14x etc.), please contact your sales rep. and fill out the A1-C form to apply. Do not use a demo license for production upgrade because of the Graceful License Violation Handling, over-the-limit users will be flagged with the License Violation status due to the 10-user limit.
8. Please note that this upgrade kit to PeopleFluent Learning version 23.11 does not require applying an additional or separate CFR-only targeted upgrade kit. There is a single upgrade kit that automatically detects the CFR state and executes the appropriate schema updates.
