About Proficiency Levels

Proficiency levels are the scales used to rate learners on competencies. When competencies are awarded to learners, or self-awarded, the proficiency level of can be selected.

Proficiency levels are configured in groups. For example, you might create a proficiency level group with a standardized scale of 1 to 10, for use with multiple competencies. You can also configure competency-specific proficiency groups with level ratings relevant to the corresponding competency.

You can select a proficiency level group as the default group, which is automatically selected when creating competencies.

You can configure access permissions for proficiency level groups to provide access to them for other administrators.

Administrators with unrestricted access to the Proficiency Levels feature in System Roles (Manage Features > Competency Manager Features) can configure proficiency levels.

To configure proficiency levels, go to Manage Center > Talent > Proficiency Levels.
