configure_news_article_target_audience

When you create a new news article, you can configure its target audience. Administrators with unrestricted access permission for a news article can also edit its target audience.

If an article is marked as public in the Edit news page, it will be visible to all users, regardless of the selection criteria specified for its target audience.

To configure a news article's target audience

  1. Go to Manage Center > Communicate > News Articles. The News Articles page opens with a list of previously configured news articles.
  2. Click the name of the news article you want to configure the target audience for. The article opens in the News Editor page for editing.
  3. Click Target Audience.
  4. Select the areas of the LMS where you want to the news article to be shown.
  5. Starting with Organization, select the criteria to select the users who will be able to see the news article. You can select multiple values for each field or leave them blank.
  6. Click Save.
