About Reviewing a Participant's Exams

If you have reviewer permissions configured for an exam, you can review participants' exam attempts. Reviewer permissions are configured per exam. Generated instances of an exam template inherit the template's reviewer permissions. For more information about exam configuration, see About Exams. 

The exams assigned to a course that the participant has taken are listed in the Exam Attempts and Results section of the participant's transcript. Clicking the exam title opens the Exam Review page in a new window. The Exam Review page provides the following summary information:

• Exam properties
• Results broken down by section
• Questions
• Points awarded for each question

From the Exam Review page you can:

• Drill down to an exam summary for the participant
• Change the exam status to Passed, Failed, or For Retake
• View the participant's responses to each question
• Leave a remedial training comment
• Download a printer-friendly PDF of the questions and the participant's responses
• Download a printer-friendly PDF record of the exam pass or failure

If you change the participant's exam status, you must also provide a comment.

To change the exam status of a participant's exam attempt and enter remedial training comments when reviewing learners' transcripts, your system role must have the Allow Exam Remedial Training Comments Data Access Role permission.
