Edit an Exam

You edit exams in the Exam Editor. Administrators with read-only or unrestricted access to the Exam and Question Manager feature and unrestricted access to the Exams feature in System Roles (Manage Features > Exam Manager Features) can edit exams.

The details you configure for exams vary for the different exam types. For more information, see About Exams.

You must click the Save icon each time you update one of the Exam Editor tabs before selecting another tab.

To edit an exam

  1. Go to Manage Center > Learning > Exams. The Exam and Question Manager page opens at the Exams tab.
  2. Select the exam you want to edit. The Exam Editor opens at the Details tab.
  3. Configure the properties in each tab of the Exam Editor as required.
  4. Click the icons on the Exam Editor toolbar to:
    • Add a new section (you then add questions to exam sections)
    • Save the properties in the current tab
    • Validate the exam
    • Delete the exam
    • Show all references to the exam (for example, which courses it is assigned to)
    • List the exam participants
    • Preview the exam
    • Generate and print unique instances of the exam
    • Assign the exam to one or more courses
    • Run one of the standard exam reports
