About Exams

You manage exams from the Exam and Question Manager, where the Exams tab lists all existing exams, up to 200 per page across multiple pages. From this page you can:

You can create the following types of exam in the LMS:

You cannot assign exams to users directly, instead you assign them to courses and enroll the participants in the course. For standalone exams that do not have an associated course, you can generate exam modules. These are enrollable learning modules that consist only of an exam.

Exams must include at least one exam section, to which you can add one or more questions. Exam sections can contain a fixed selection of questions (presented in same order or random order) or questions randomly selected from a question pool, where each exam participant may get a different selection of questions to answer.

You can configure a disclaimer that participants must agree to before they can start exams. For more information, see About the Exam Disclaimer.

To create exams with randomly selected questions, but where all candidates taking the same instance of the exam get the same questions, you can configure exams as templates and generate exam instances from them.

Exams can be automatically graded by the LMS. For more information, see About Automatic Grading.

For offline participation, you can allow exams to be printed and downloaded to the TalentSlate app.

You can configure access permissions to allow other administrators to view or edit exams. You can also secure exams with an access code or IP address range restriction, giving you control over which learners can take them.

Exams can be imported, with question sections and questions, via the Background Task Console. For more information, see the PeopleFluent Learning 22.07 Exams Import Guide.
