About Assessment Workflow Templates

Assessment workflow templates consist of one or more pre- or post-course assessments that can be assigned to participants, instructors or direct appraisers.

You can create and edit assessment workflow templates in the Assessment Workflow Manager, where you specify one or more exams, the user requested to complete them, and the reminder email notification details for each.

PeopleFluent recommends using different email templates tailored to the different types of recipient: participant, instructor and direct appraiser.

Course administrators can assign assessment workflows to specific learning sessions in the Catalog Editor. All workflow assignments can also be disabled for a session, overriding any organization or system based workflows.

Administrators can assign assessment workflows to organizations in Organization Maintenance, so that users who are members of the organization are assigned the same assessments depending on the assessments assigned to participants, instructors and appraisers.

System administrators can assign assessment workflows to logical domains, to assign a system default workflow to all courses for everyone in the logical domain.

To create and edit assessment workflows, your user role must have unrestricted access to the Catalog Manager in System Roles (Manage Features > Catalog Manager Features).

Assessment workflows have permissions that determine which users can assign them (as described above) or edit them in the Assessment Workflow Manager.

To create or edit an Assessment Workflow, go to  Manage Center > Learning > Assessment Workflow Manager
