Create a Facility

Facilities in the LMS represent rooms at training centers, for which you can specify the location, the seating arrangements, and audio and video equipment available.

Once you have created and saved a facility, you can create an event for it, which can be a new learning module session or a simple booking reservation.

To create a facility

  1. Go to Manage Center > Learning > Facilities. The Facilities page opens and lists the existing Facilities by Venue Name and Facility Code.
  2. Click + Create Facility. The Create Facility page opens.
  3. Enter the Facility Code, which is used to uniquely identify the facility. It can include spaces. This field is mandatory.
  4. Select the training center where the training facility is located. If the facility is not in a training center, you can enter a Location and leave the Training Center as Default.
  5. If the facility is available for booking immediately, select Available from the Status drop-down list. Otherwise, select Not Available.
  6. Select the type of facility from the Category drop-down list.
  7. Enter the Venue name. This is shown with the Facility Code where the facility is referenced in the Knowledge Center and class session. This field is mandatory.
  8. Enter the Contact Info and Directions for the facility. These are shown to learners when they select the facility in the Knowledge Center.
  9. To provide learners with a map of the facility, click the browse icon. The Repository Manager opens in a new window. Navigate to the map file and click Select to select the map. The Repository Manager closes.
  10. Select and enter the information about Room Equipment.
  11. Click Save.
