Competency models are containers you use to organize competencies. For example, you could configure separate competency models for different geographies, job roles, or specific areas of knowledge. Competency models have a hierarchical structure, enabling models to have sub-models. Competencies in a parent model are shared among its sub-models, while keeping sub-models' competencies separate.
You configure competency models and competencies in the Competency Models page. From the Competency Models Tools action menu, you can select some or all of the following options, depending on your access permissions for the selected model:
Administrators with unrestricted access to the Competency Models feature in System Roles (Manage Features > Competency Manager Features) can create, edit and delete competency models and competencies.
Administrators with unrestricted access to the Job Profiles feature in System Roles (Manage Features > Competency Manager Features) can map competency models and competencies to job profiles.
To configure competency models and competencies, go to Manage Center > Talent > Competency Models.
